P&M Edwards is a family business running two picturesque garden centres in the heart of Staffordshire. With over 60 years of experience in horticulture, our policy is to grow top quality plants at affordable prices, complete with honest, knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
We have two garden centres open all year round – Johnson Hall Nurseries in Eccleshall and Bury Bank, located just outside Stone. Both nurseries offer a range of plant services throughout the year from bare root hedging to Christmas trees, small plug plants to tall trees. When visiting either garden centre, if you can’t find what you are looking for, just ask a member of staff to point you in the right direction.
Johnson Hall Nurseries
Johnson Hall garden centre is located just outside Eccleshall on the A519, Newport Road. A short drive from the surrounding towns of Market Drayton and Stafford and easily accessible from junction 14 of the M6, Johnson Hall offers a pleasant day out for any gardening enthusiast. Set in the delightful surroundings of a Victorian walled garden, the site was formally the gardens of Johnson Hall. Visitors may note that, over a century since their construction, the garden centre continues to use the original (and beautiful) Foster & Pearson greenhouses on site.
Take your time to explore our quiet and picturesque garden centre and see the wide variety of flora we have to offer. As you wander around, you are likely to find our staff at work potting, watering or making up hanging baskets. Feel free to ask for help or advice. Fill a trolley with plants and you will be pleasantly surprised how little you have spent. Once you leave, be sure to pop into Eccleshall for some food or drink in one of the village’s many pubs & cafes.
The Greenhouse Emporium at Johnson Hall Nurseries
Housed within one of our Victorian greenhouses at Johnson Hall is a treasure trove of unusual and decorative pieces for the home & garden with antiques, planters, reclamation items, hardware & garden furniture. Tucked away near the back of the garden centre, the Greenhouse Emporium offers plenty of gift ideas with regular new stock.
Bury Bank Garden Centre
Bury Bank garden centre is located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, you can find us on the A51 just a mile from the A34 Darlaston Inn roundabout near Stone.
Established in 1991 growing shrubs, trees & hardy nursery stock, the plant centre was opened to our retail customers in 1998. Growing onsite allows us to offer a diverse range of plants not always found in a typical garden centre, making it worth the short 20 minute drive from nearby Stoke and Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
